YART – Yamaha Austria Racing Team is one of the world’s leading teams in the FIM Endurance World Championship. Founded in 2001 by owner and Team Manager Mandy Kainz, YART stands for uncompromising performance, precision engineering, and consistency at the highest level of international motorcycle racing. Based in Heimschuh, Austria, the team operates from a strategic location at the heart of Europe’s racing infrastructure.

Racing Success at World Level
YART’s history is defined by results. Multiple World Championship titles, iconic victories at legendary endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Spa, and more than 40 podium finishes underline the team’s position among the elite of endurance racing. Over more than two decades, YART has proven that success in endurance racing is built on reliability, teamwork, and performance under extreme conditions.
Engineering & Technical Excellence
Beyond the racetrack, YART operates as a high-level technical organisation. The team runs its own engine tuning and electronics departments, rolling and engine dynos, CNC production, and advanced workshop facilities. As one of the largest official GYTR Pro Shops in Europe, YART produces around 300 race bikes per year and develops specialised components for Yamaha Motor Europe. Racing experience is directly transferred into technology, quality, and performance.

Since 2015, YART has deliberately expanded its focus beyond factory-level racing. The team shares its experience with young talents, private teams, and track-day riders, supporting rider development and promoting safer motorsport. The aim is to move the racing spirit from public roads to professional racetracks and make high-level racing expertise accessible in a controlled, professional environment.

HISTORY
YART achieved another historic highlight by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans and securing its third World Endurance Championship title. This success confirmed YART’s position among the legends of endurance racing.
YART won the 8 Hours of Spa and finished second at the 8 Hours of Suzuka +7,9 sec behind HRC Honda. The season ended with a runner-up position in the World Championship even with an incredible strike of 4 podiums out of 4 races !
YART secured its second World Endurance Championship title with a victory at the 24 Hours of Spa. The team returned to the top of the world after more than a decade.
YART claimed victory at the 12 Hours of Estoril. The result confirmed the team’s ability to remain competitive in a new era of endurance racing.
YART won the Slowakiaring 8H back to back and Niccolo Canepa won as only single rider in EWC History a 8H race . Sepang 8H is thatfor forever in the History books. YART became again Vice Worldchampion in the season 2019/2020
YART won finally with the 8 Hours of Slowakiaring their homerace after 9 years without winning a EWC race. Yamaha Motor Europe presented a limited 20th Anniversary YZF-R1 edition, with 20 units built exclusively by YART. This underlined the strong technical partnership between YART and Yamaha.
YART finished 3rd in the championship , but lost the 24H of Le Mans just by 18 seconds, what is till now the smallest gap ever.
YART expanded its mission by sharing its experience with junior riders, private teams, and track-day racers. The goal was to promote safer motorcycle racing and move the racing spirit from public roads to professional racetracks.
The Pole Position at the 8H of Suzuka from Katsuyuki Nakasuga was the Highlight of the season .In Suzuka were riding Katsuyuki Nakasuga, Noriyuki Haga and Tommy Hill for YART on a factory R1.
YART reached a historic milestone by winning its first World Endurance Championship. Victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Oschersleben, Albacete, and Doha defined one of the most successful seasons in team history.
YART won their 1st EWC race at the 8H of Doha with the riders Igor Jerman, Steve Martin and Steve Plater. YART finished the championship again as Vice Worldchampion 2008.
YART could finish 6 out of 7 races on the Podium and won the Suzuka 8H SBK Class. The season 2026 YART was for the 1st time Vice Wolrdchampion.
YART finished third overall in the World Championship. This result started a five-year period in which the team never finished outside the top three.
YART achieved its first podium at the 200 Miles of Imola with the Austrian Rider Trio Horst Saiger , Karl Truchsess and Erwin Wilding. YART finished in the World Endurance Championship 2003 as 7th and kept the #7 till nowadays. These early successes marked the beginning of the team’s rise on the international stage.
